The full size fridge and microwave were nice to have. But, she was very nice and polite the entire time. Hannah seemed to be running around a lot - checking guests in, checking rooms, running the washer and dryer, making coffee and lord knows what else. I returned around 230pm and Hannah said a room was ready. I was fine with that and completely understood. It was noon and she apologized that they had no rooms ready to check in. I laughed and said that wasn't even close to other hotels. Hannah said their rate was high because of Memorial Day.$133. I realized this hotel was right across the lot. I was in the Visitor Center parking lot making my calls. On arrival in Rapid City, I called several hotels.to be told their exorbitant rates. I was kind of winging my weekend, wandering around, so had not made advance reservations. I had never stayed with this hotel chain before. I wouldn't recommend staying there to anyone ever!… If my reservation had been refundable we would have left immediately. It was a sketchy place that looked like it had more in house renters than overnight guests. We finally got to sleep around 1am as the noise died down. We went to bed and were met with three constantly slamming doors and around 11:30pm someone was cooking something that burned and the smell filled out room. All of these things could have been overlooked but we were staying because we had to leave for the airport at 3am. It has scorch tape on the back holding the batteries in. We asked about it downstairs and they borrowed one from a room, explained how to program it ourselves. We went to our room and discovered we didn't have a remote for the TV. Checking in we were met with a lobby full of people many of whom we discovered were staff. Hands down this was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in.
