

So basically don't be scared if the system takes a minute or two to start the very first time. so sometimes BIOSes upload multiple such "microcode" patches into processors and test uploads and reset the CPU multiple times until they're up to the latest version of microcode stored inside the bios.Īlso, most bioses also "train" the memory, they basically detect new sticks installed and test those sticks with various frequencies and timings to make sure there's no errors with them, and then settle on the best timings compatible with the presets built into the ram sticks, or with the xmp/docp profiles stored inside ram sticks.so that can also take some time. it can take up to 1-2 minutes to start, while not seeing anything on screen.īIOSes contain microcode patches (code that runs inside the processor) which sometimes needs to be "uploaded" in the cpu itself, if the cpu has older version of this code. It's bit nuisance because 50% of the time I'm not able to control the fan in sys_fan3 outside BIOS and I'm definitely not going to use that fan splitter again.It should boot up but make a beep or have some message on the screen, warning fan not detected press F1 to continue, something like that. So yeah I'm just curious if there is anything I can do about this?

Then just one day the splitter stopped working (just 1 fan out of 2 spinning at a time). When I got this motherboard sys_fan3 was still working and I was using Noctua's fan splitter to connect 2 fans to it. I did try with other cables and swapped fans around but nothing really changes. My other case fans on the other headers (sys_fan2 and sys_fan1) will work even at 20% just fine.

The issue is that any fan I plug on it won't spin unless it's at least 50%. I got issues with sys_fan3 header that is located in the same row with USB, power/reset, rgb etc. This is the motherboard I got, I've been using it for about 10 months and it was brand new. I made post about this thing couple months ago but I'm going to make a new topic about it again because the issue appeared once again.
